They simply tell you which computer input is not getting the signal it expects. There should normally be a letter in front of the code as well to indicate which system is involved.

The problem could be a broken lead, plug, bad connection or the sensor itself. Changing components on the basis of a fault code alone rarely solves the problem and gets to work out very expensive in needlessly changed parts.

Before you delve into the hi-tech stuff, have you tried the basics? Tyre pressures and tracking are first to check. Then think about when it started. Did you have new tyres or change them round just before it started pulling to the left? You might simply have two front tyres that tend towards the left (most tyres have a slight bias one way or the other). Is it a severe pull or just something that you notice if you let go of the steering in a straight line?

If none of these apply and if you're not a reasonably knowledgeable technician, find a Porsche specialist is the best advice.

Sorry, but these cars are complicated and easily messed up if you don't know what you're doing.

Hope that helps.

Tim

Faulty Level Control

Dears:

I have Porsche Cayenne 2005.
