Lots of garages will do a free battery test which will tell you the condition. Alternatively, it could be the alternator not charging enough - check the drive belt (AKA fan belt) is tight, then get the alternator charge rate checked. You can get a rough idea yourself by starting the engine, let it idle and turn the lights and heater fan on. Listen to the note of the fan, then rev the engine to about 2000 rpm. If the fan note rises slightly, the alternator is charging and it's probably OK.

Hope that helps

Tim

RE: Honda Jazz won't start

Hi

I assume you got this sorted out ages ago - what was it? It sounds like a completey flat battery if the locks wouldn't even undo. If you didn't leave the lights on, I'd suspect a short through the alternator or some relay contacts stuck closed, or CD palyer is a common cause of battery drain (not specifically on the Jazz, but on various other cars)

Tim
