2000 Ford Galaxy 2.3 Ghia Auto - Keeps cutting out

My Galaxy keeps cuts out after running for 5 minuites. All the dash lights come on. When I try to start it up I get a clicking sound and the stereo & the lights on the dash board filck on and off.

Originally I thought it was the battery but now I have a brand one and the problem continues.

Looking at the fault finder in used car expert it sounds like the Ecu, but it seems that there is a Ecu for everything, (and i'm no mechanic).

Can anyone help? Also if anyone knows where I can get this repaired by a reputable garage in the UB3 area this would also be a great help. (preferably 5 mins away ;0)

Abs Warning light

can anybody help me with this problem when i start the engine the Abs light will come on for a few seconds then go off but after driving for about 2 mins the Abs light comes back on and stays on. I Have just had the bearing done on one side this all happened after i got it back the garage told me it was afault with the sencer. would i be able to change the sencer or will i have to book it back into the garage to be done.

Hi,

My focus 1.6tdci has recenlty started to loose power between 1500 - 2000 rpm, a hiccup would best describe it and each time it does this a puff of black smoke can be seen in the rear view mirror. It also seems to be low on power not sure if this connected or not. Earlier in the year the turbo was replaced by an independent garage who have also looked at this new fault several times for me but still no solution so far. No engine management light has appeared + no fault found with diagnostic check done by fords? I have had all the filters changed as well as the MAF sensor cleaned. My garage tells me a faulty MAF sensor or EGR valve would show on the diagnostics so this is unlikely, they did offer to re-code the injectors but unfortunately no codes are visible on the engine??

Any ideas what the fault could be??

uneaven rear tyre wear

My 53 Focus is suffering from heavy tyre wear on the inner edge of the rear offside tyre. It is heavy on the near side wheel but not as bad. If you look down the side of the car it actually looks like the wheel is out of alignment, and is not sitting vertical, but leaning over a few degrees. Any ideas?

temperature problem

my problem is that the temperature gauge goes directly to hot as soon as the ignition is turned on. Also, the cooling fans do not come on when the engine gets hot. Help stop the overheating and possible damage to the head gasket.

Central locking activates when braking

Hi

I have a galaxy.9 TDI 02 reg, it now activates the central locking (including flashing the hazards) when ever I put my foot on the brake. Even if I then unlock the central locking as soon as I apply the brakes they go on again. Also if I put the door locks on and then apply the brakes the hazards flash and it trys to lock the already locked doors - anyone got any experience or ideas on this please?

Hi all

I purchased this car approx 4 weeks ago from a dealer at a cost of £6400.

During that time I have only used the car for work about 8 miles each way with no problems.

I have just driven the car approx 200+miles, mostly motorway at a speed of between 70/80MPH.

On compleation of the journey I discovered a film of deisel covering the whole of the rear door and bumper, underneath the car there are a number of oil/deisel drips on the ground where I have parked.

Metal found in Oil (Where you pour in the oil) - FORD KA

Got some concerns about a Ford KA I may buy.

I just gave it a test drive and when I put my finger straight into the Tippid Cover (part you pour Oil into) I could feel and see Metal filaments on my finger. I believed this to be coming from the Head Cylinder then however im not too sure and wondered what Could be causing this and what would I need to do if I bought this car to get it fixed?

When going into 1st gear I found the 1st gear to be alot futher to the Left then any other cars ive driven, It seems you have to push the gear stick Much futher to get into 1st gear compared to the rest (including 2nd). Any ideas what this may be or is it just how it was made? Its not been a problem for my friend that owns the car however I just wondered if everyone has this same issue.

The Clutch doesn't seem to Bite untill your very high coming off it. Again not a major problem I dont think but would like to see what people think about it and what to check.

hi all,ihave a 99 focus 1.8 petrol engine when the weather is very cold car starts first time but revs up to3500revs.this will not drop to normal weather driving or standing till engine reaches working tempreture,apart from this car drives mint,car is high mileage 130,000miles,can any one help please.

vibrating steering wheel

I'm a layman when it comes down to cars so I don't think my question just relates to Ford. When testdriving a second hand Focus Ghia 1.6 I found the wheel was vibrating when I let go of it (it wasn't really noticeable when holding the wheel). I was told this was because of the wheels not being properly balanced and could be fixed easily. Does this sound plausible or could there be more serious problems?

Sorry not to technical but new to the world of cars.Just bought a fiesta Mk4 and the cabin light does not work off the drivers door,Undid switch on door piller and no wire on the back of it is there a easy way to find the wire without getting hand through the 1/2 inch hole in piller?:D Thanks for any help

2002 02 Ford Galaxy 115bhp Zetec auto dropping intermittently when under load around 2500 revs into limp mode. MAF meter and sensor replaced. Hoses Checked no leakage. Turbo chemically flused. Brake light sensor replaced. Most recent fault Code 17964 "Charge Pressure control Present Malfunction". What to do next?
