Saxo central locking problem

Hi,

I have a 1997 Citroen Saxo that has a problem with the central locking.

The basic problem is that when I unlock the car it locks again straight away. It does this on both the driver side and passenger side. The only way to get into the car is to keep the key turned in the lock when you pull the door open. This then results in the car trying to lock the door while it is open, cause a very loud and embarrassing noise!! However the problem does come and go (usually when I take it to the garage!) in no particular pattern.

The Citroen garage that I have taken it to have put a solenoid on thinking that would help but the problem came back a few days later. Although the problem isn't dangerous it is very annoying and I would like is sorted, my garage has run out of ideas. Can anyone help?

recently i unlock it using codes here , it works good .it was a pleasant experience . i like my phone it supports much programs .

Xsara 2.0 HDI

My Xsara 2.0 HDI stopped as if I had turned the ignition off or had run out of fuel. I have renewed fuel filter,checked cam belt ,power steering belt and all the fuses I can find under bonnet and in cab,all ok .Fuel is going to filter ,engine is turning over ,both belts are turning when engine is turned over.Is there any electrical problems with this model?

Speedometer needle now flicks when ignition is turned ,central locking has been disabled by removing fuse so engine immobiliser has been disabled? Any ideas? Regards Rossoil

hi i've got a 2004 berlingo multispace 2ltr HDI which loses power (foot to floor max 2500rpm no elasticity) and then engine management light comes on intermittently. had ecu read flow probs and egr valve. can egr valve be cleaned or do i need a new one, if so where's the best place to get one. also has anyone else had this prob and how did you solve it?

hi xantia 1.8 16v 1999 petrol...

very fast idle at start up 3000-4000 revs lol...settles down after 10 seconds...drives ok at speed, but when slowing or stopping the car wants to lurch forwards at 2000-3000 revs...have to dip clutch to bring back down to normal idle speed...i have been told "its ur idle valve sticking" new costs £104.00 from citroen or peugeot...is there any checks to do b4 spending all this money or shud i buy second hand throttle control housing unit for £25.00??

Van cuts out under load called AA no fault found in EOBD. Engine management light comes on, management light flikers then van will start van drive perfect until under load over 4000 rpm.

Citreon zsara problems

Ho guys, im a newbie to this forum but just want to pick your brains.

i was given a s reg 1.4 citreon zsara . as my escort died the horrible death and my generous uncle said i could have it.

in last day or so its not been starting on the turn of the key but need the key held for 5-6seconds to get it to struggle in to life . once started its shudders for a fe seconds and then is fine. today i decided to have a quick look nder the bonnet and saw that on the cambelt side of the engine block the endine was wet with black oily water. thought it was oil at first but to the touch its not slippery and is water/ coolent. so i opened the coolent filler and there was a layer of black sludge on top of very rusty mucky coolent. i drained it all off and flushed ot though using a flushing product and then flushed it though again with hot water then added new coolent and water and k-seal hoping it would do what it says it does. .

within 3 minutes of driving the temp sensor was reading just below the redline. so i stopped and it rapidly dropped down to 90. then i drove off again and it rose up to just below the red and then dropped down to mid way between the red and 90. depending on the speed i was driving at. no faster than 70mph.

i got to work and saw water dripping on the floor from the same place from the top left side of the engine down the block and on the floor but there is wet patches all around the surrounding area of the engine, mounts etc. i turned the air bleed valve to open and it took about 3 miniutes of hissing till it was finished. the coolent level in the tank had dropped about 2cm.

worked my shift and started the car and it took about 7 seconds of turning the key for it to start again very lumpy but soon cleared after a rev of the engine. again within 3 minutes of driving it was close to the redline on the temp clock and as i slowed it dropped off a bit. when i got home the engine was wet with fresh moisture as i had wipped the previous moisture off.

im hoping this is not the head gasket gone. what else could this be??

any help would be greatly appreicated

Fuel injection xsara picasso

The car starts up o/k and ticks over fine, but when you pull away it is very jumpy unless you are putting excessive revs on,it seems to be stalling thru fuel starvation. I drove from London to Catterick and back without a problem when it is running at speed in high gears. the problem seems to be in the low gears,I have recently had the coil pack changed and a full diagnostic done and they could not finf the problem.On the odd occasions when it is idling it seems to be pulsating you notice the read out on the dash board fading and brightening as it idles

Hi, I own a Citroen C2 GT, and i recently noticed what i thought was a flat tyre while driving ! however this was not the case ! it apperars to be coming from the back left wheel, it is like a feeling of bumping when you are driving .. all the tyre pressure are correct and nothing unusual wrong with the underneath of the car !

Anybody have any ideas with what could be wrong with it ? ? ?
